BULLMASTIFFS AND GERMAN SHEPHERDS

LET US SHARE WITH YOU SOME MUCH LOVED AND CHERISHED PHOTOS OF

                                                 THOSE  WE LOVED AND LOST

Tafsons Brontie (Zena)

15/07/89 - 22/10/00. Gone, but never forgotten

(Naukeen Woodwatch of Noirmont x Blenvara Calphurnia)

Sadly for us, we've had to say good-bye to Zena, but we are comforted by the thought that she is now restored to the prime of her youth, once again enjoying the companionship of her friend, Elsa who we lost earlier the same year.

As you will see Zena was in her prime in the photograph on the left. She did us proud with her show placings and we loved her for being her .....................a priceless and dignified lady.

The photo on the right shows our Zena just prior to her passing. She never grumbled or complained despite her illness. She was a queen amongst queens. We will never forget her. Even now,the memory of her brings a lump to my throat.

Lady Apollo (Elsa)

18/11/90 - 20/4/00. Gone, but never forgotten

Elsa was a very much loved member of our family who sadly, we had to say goodbye to when she was ten years old. She was an elderly lady when this photograph was taken. She does, however, live on through her progeny. Her show-winning daughter, Chetina Blenvira, became the foundation bitch for the 'Aralders' kennel, and she in turn has produced show winning children and grand-children.

Sadly, we lost her in the same year that we lost Zena. She developed Arthritis and, like Zena, she developed cancer too. We kept her alive for as long as was possible but we had to let her go. Elsa was sired by The Jarrow Lad x Kensix Roxanne Sadie

This was the girl that kept us busy with a litter of 15. She was a bit of a TV celebrity and she got her photos in the papers too. She loved all the fuss . Like her pal,Zena, Elsa will stay in our hearts

DAINTY DUCHESS WITH  MICHIANTI

Master Louis x Precious Jade

Cassie sadly passed away after a short illness on 31/12/2005

We think she tried to "See in the New Year" so our year wouldn't end badly but unfortunately, she didn't make it.

SHE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

This photo was taken when Cassie was still a youngster. She attained several show placings

CONSETT CANINE SOCIETY --- BEST OF BREED

LANCHESTER SHOW--------BEST PUPPY IN BREED

DRIFFIELD CH. SHOW.........3RD JUNIOR , 4TH POST GRAD

Cassie was shown and placed several times after that but her ring career was tragically cut short by a leg injury.

Like Zena,Elsa and all of the other Bullie girls we'd owned before,Cassie had a perfect temperament and she excelled in loving friends, family and strangers alike. Cassie was everybody's friend. Everyone loved her and she loved them back 100%. We were absolutely destroyed when she passed away at a young age. She was only 8 years old......a "youngster" by our standards.

We went to visit Cassie at the vetinerary clinic on the last day of the year, hoping to see some betterness in her . She had been ill for about 8 days. We stroked her and spoke to her  and we knew that she knew we were there though she showed little response.  As we walked out of the door though our Cassie  mustered enough stregnth to raise her head and  to try to wag her tail. It was an effort for her...........................and now we know that this was her way of saying "Goodbye". We know she fought for life that day....that she didnt want the year to end with so much heartache for us.

When I left the vet's I was slightly more hopeful.  At least she had acknowledged our being there....so maybe she was on the mend. But,it wasn't to be.

We arrived home about twenty five minutes after witnessing  her brave attempt to console us. As we walked through the door we heard the phone ring and the answerphone kicked in. The vet had left us a message. We rang the vet immediately.......only to hear the words we had dreaded. Cassie had passed away within  ten minutes of lifting her head to say goodbye for the last time.

Cassie was an angel. Cassie was a a little diamond........but most of all,Cassie was a star.
